Previously Allergy and Asthma Clinic of Northeast Georgia, The Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center has served Halls County and its surrounding communities since 2017. With Dr. Amy Boyd, Dr. Poneh Heine, and our incredibly caring and knowledgeable Gainesville staff, we strive to provide the ultimate in care for allergy and asthma patients of all ages. Dr. Amy Boyd

Dr. Amy Whitmire Boyd received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed her internship in general surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She then completed her residencies in otolaryngology and pediatrics as well as her fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

 

Dr. Boyd is a native of Gainesville, Georgia, and is a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. She has performed as pianist with the Medical College of Georgia String Trio, as substitute pianist with the Augusta Symphony, and with the Birmingham Ballet.

 

Dr. Boyd is board certified in pediatrics and in allergy/immunology. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Her husband Brad is a pediatrician in Gainesville. They have three children – twin sons and a daughter.


Dr. Poneh Davoodi Heine

Dr. Poneh Davoodi Heine received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Her fellowship in allergy and immunology was completed at Georgia Regents University, where she was Chief Fellow.


Dr. Heine is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is board certified in allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the World Allergy Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics.


In her spare time, Dr. Heine enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, being outdoors and cheering for the Atlanta Falcons.
