PRIMARY IMMUNE DEFICIENCY DISEASE

Though considered rare at one time, Primary Immune Deficiency diseases affect one in 500 individuals in the United States. Because of this growth in diagnosis, research in the field of immunology has increased and several successful therapies are in place for most of the PIDD-related diseases.

While a cure may not exist, it is possible to lower the frequency and severity of complications due to PIDD. With continued research, technology and perseverance, most people diagnosed with PIDD are able to have a fulfilling life. Due to the growing need in the communities we serve and the promising developments in treatment being made, The Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center has decided to dedicate resources and staff to assisting individuals with PIDD and the providers who care for them.
